Lockdown

So much to do! So many worries, concerns and distractions. We work hard, we play hard. We want to stay healthy – we need to stay healthy! Many of us fear that we may be one health crisis away from losing everything. The virus has kept us awake throughout the night and turn our schedules upside down. There are so many things we cannot control; even we were told to stay home but work schedules need to go on yet we never know if a coworker comes to work with a headache and a fever. We never know if someone may have sneezed on the grocery cart we reached for!

The virus is a global health crisis that deserves our respect; it’s like one fine day, we all wake up to a different world. Suddenly Disney is out of magic, Paris is no longer romantic, New York doesn’t stand up anymore, the Chinese wall is no longer a fortress and Mecca is empty. Hugs and kisses suddenly become weapons and not visiting friends and family becomes an act of love. Suddenly you realize that power, beauty and money are worthless and couldn’t get a patient the oxygen they were fighting for. The world continues its life and is beautiful, it only puts human in cages.

I think as human we are all being reminded by mother nature that “You are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky without you continues it cycles. When you come back, remember that you are my guests; not my masters”.
