It made me wiser. It made me see things I once overlooked — the quiet strength in kindness, the resilience in hope, and the power of simply choosing to try again. The version of me that exists today is stitched together by every painful experience I’ve survived, but also every moment I chose to keep going. And for that, I am proud.
Somewhere along this journey, I realized that everything begins in the mind. We live through our thoughts more than we live through events. If I can reshape the way I think — even just a little — everything starts to change. I’ve started training my mind to see beauty in ordinary things: the warmth of the sun on my face, a good laugh with someone I love, the peace that comes from doing absolutely nothing. I’ve learned to appreciate the small things, because sometimes, they’re the ones that keep us going.
So, even after all the cracks, I’m not bitter. I’m still soft. I still believe in joy. I still believe that life is worth loving — not when everything is perfect, but even when it's a little messy. Because happiness isn’t something we stumble upon, it’s something we choose, one thought at a time.
So here I am — learning to laugh a little louder, smile a little longer, and love life a little more deeply. Not because life has been easy, but because I’ve decided that I deserve to feel light again.
